  1. Hello, I love the faith and Love and great ideas for parenting and home school and family in your blog. But Most of all I love that Toby has found such a special home with you and your family. When our oldest was 3 months old (2008) I felt drawn to an adoption agency and first came across Toby (Chiwei). For two years my husband and I talked about adopting him. I felt very strongly about it. My husband is from China and is much more conservative, though he felt it was a good thing to do he couldnt overcome his concerns of the unknown. In 2010, after two years of hopes going up and down I finally let go of the hope of him joining our family. However I have continued to think about and him, especially on his birthday each year, and pray that he would find his forever family. I am so happy to see the happiness he has found in your home. I came across your blog yesterday when I decided on a whim to look and see if he was still at the Jonah house, I recognized his picture right away. I may have some more of him as a child if you want them, I found some online from some volunteer groups that visited when he was little. Hopefully I dont sound too strange but I will forever be grateful for Toby, even though he wasnt meant to be part of our family he has changed our lives. Because of the talks we had about adopting him my husband was willing to take in a exchange student from China a few years later, she was become a part of our family and having her through several of her teenage years prepared us for taking in my two teenage sisters several years ago when our parents were suddenly killed in an accident. Since then our family has grown with the addition of a friend's son and a niece from China, in addition to our four little girls, one of which is our little angel in Heaven and one who blessed our home with her miraculous arrival this spring. Best wishes for happiness and peace to you and your family. Again, thank you for your posts. Sincerely, Amber
